The test consists of detecting the presence of DNA of bacteria Mycoplasma pneumoniae causing mycoplasma pneumonia. Symptoms of the disease are differentiated, from a light infection of upper airways to acute pneumonia. Besides, they can be accompanied with complications on the part of the nervous system, heart, joints or pancreas. Skin symptoms are also frequent, like rash, erythema, ulcerative stomatitis or conjunctivitis. The course of mycoplasma infection may be asymptomatic in case of 10%-20% of people.
