Haemophilus influenzae - quality PCR

120 Haemophilus influenzae - quality  PCR

The test consists  of detecting DNA of bacteria Haemophilus influenzae in the swab of nasopharyngeal cavity. Haemophilus influenzae is a Gram-negative bacteria, which may be a physiological component of bacterial micro flora of upper respiratory tracts (carriage state in case of 60%-90% of children and 35% of adults). Until now 6 types of this bacteria have been extinguished. It is one of the most frequent etiology factors causing infections of respiratory tracts. The infection is transmitted via droplet method. It mainly affects children between 3 months and 3 years old. In most cases, the infection is caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b. The disease may take different clinical forms, e.g. otitis media, laryngitis, osteitis, arthritis, pericarditis or purulent cerebrospinal meningitis.
